_{Anime Evolution Prints 04: Death the Kid}

Of course i was going to do something Soul Eater, print wise- that show is F*cking epic. You have a combo like *Gainax-Bones-and Enix* you take notice. After asking for some advice, i decided it would be best to just go ahead, and pick out one of the favorites from the series, and draw them * weapons in hand. It seems like the huge fan favorite, is the neurotic Kid Who must have symmetry, or all hell will break loose.

and yes, incase you were wondering- Kid holds his guns in a very unorthodox way, he holds them upside down, and fires using his pinkies ( watch the anime to check it out for yourself, it looks pretty cool LOL )

The Picture

For this picture, i wanted to bring out a few details, but not try to go overboard at the same time, hopefully i didn't over do it, and got a simple yet detailed Cellshaded/softshaded picture. For kid, I thought one of the most visually interesting pictures for him, would have to include either the twins, or his Shinigami Cloak with both guns drawn.

* i just HAD to draw that Cloak man! Ever since i saw it in Episode 15 ( where Kid did combat alone on the boat against the haunted residents, and a surprise visit from Crona * crazy Crona ftw * )

* the part i enjoyed working on most was the guns. I love working with metals and different material's like that. I really liked the angle, and the way my line art looked from the beginning. I had to make a few tweaks here and there -

I also took quite a bit of advice from Joodlez on things like eye lighting, the bg color and making the mask look more solid, as opposed to Styrofoam-ish. So many thanks to you as always <3

overall, i like this one : ) I think it looks kinda cool. It kind of reminds me of a book cover * probably would be if i were to do a doujin or something.

Special note on the Soul Eater Title

* because you have to watch your ass around DA these days, what with people being accused of stealing from their own pictures ( LOL ) I just want to assure all that i did make the title graphic using nothing but the line and circle tool in PS, and will be glad to post a tutorial or process up to prove it.
